FORKS — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office will hold a public meeting today to discuss vulnerabilities faced by Forks-area residents in the event of an emergency and to listen to ideas for projects to mitigate damage or safety threats.
The meeting with the Emergency Management section of the Sheriff’s Office is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Forks High School Cafeteria, 261 Spartan Ave.
According to a press release, the meeting is part of the ongoing effort to update the Clallam County Hazard Mitigation Plan, which includes the city of Forks.
A previous meeting was held in Port Angeles and input from the West End is being sought with today’s meeting.
