PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Noxious Weed Control Board’s annual report of the county’s weed management plan is now available online.
On Dec. 4, the Noxious Weed Control Board presented the county Board of Commissioners with a briefing of the inaugural year of the Road Department’s Integrated Weed Management Plan and a draft version of the 2017 Annual Report.
The full report with detailed information regarding the weed control work accomplished in 2017 is now available online at www.clallam.net/weed and the Clallam Roads Department webpage at www. clallam.net/roads.
The 2018 work plan is under development and will be available online as well in 2018.
County officials say the road department’s weed management plan was created to help the county efficiently comply with its noxious weed control obligations and reduce existing weed populations and prevent the establishment of new ones across the county.
