Clallam County voters could approve any or all of eight proposed Home Rule Charter amendments on today’s ballot.
The Home Rule Charter contains laws and establishes regulations for government in areas not covered by state law.
Two amendments would have a far greater impact on government than the other six, county leaders say:
* Amendment 1 would establish elections for county commissioner by district instead of countywide.
* Amendment 8 would require a citizen committee’s review of the county charter every 10 years instead of every five, as is now the case.
Other charter amendments before the voters today appear in the Tuesday Peninsula Daily News.
