SEQUIM — A candidates forum is scheduled at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., at 7 p.m. Thursday.
It will include incumbent Position 2 Sequim City Council member Walt Schubert and his challenger,
Sequim Planning Commissioner Ted Miller, and Sequim Planning Commissioner Mike East and former City Council member Don Hall, candidates for Position 3 on the council.
Also participating will be Jon Kirschbaum and Virginia O’Neil, running for the Sequim School Board; Jan Richardson and Susan Sorensen, SARC Position 1; and Noelle Levesque and Robert Macaulay, SARC Position 2.
Written questions from the audience will be read to the candidates by a moderator during the forum.
The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Clallam County, the American Association of University Women and the senior center.
The league and AAUW women will hold a candidates forum in City Council chambers at Port Angeles City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Answering questions will be these candidates for Port Angeles City Council:
Cody Blevins and Larry Little, Position 1
Max Mania and Edna Petersen, Position 2
Harry Bell and Patrick Downie, Position 3
Brooke Nelson and incumbent Betsy Wharton, Position 4
A second league and AAUW forum will be held in the Port Angeles City Council chambers at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19.
The candidates at this forum will be:
Port Angeles School Board, Position 1 — Debby Fuson and Sarah Methner
Olympic Medical Center board of commissioners District 2, Position 2 — Phil Edin and John Miles
Port of Port Angeles Board of Commissioners Position 3 — incumbent John Calhoun and Brad Collins
The Oct. 19 forum will also focus on the pros and cons on two ballot measures — Initiative 1033:
Revenue limits affecting state, county and city general funds, and Referendum 71, domestic partnership law.
Ballots for the all-mail Nov. 3 election will be sent to registered voters on Oct. 14.
