CHIMACUM — About 90 people Tuesday night vowed to fight a gravel project they said was “not a done deal yet.”
The Hood Canal Coalition citizens group meet at the Tri-Area Community Center to discuss plans by Fred Hill Materials Inc. of Poulsbo to build a four-mile conveyer belt and 1,100-foot marine pier on the Hood Canal in Shine.
The coalition gathered for its first public meeting Tuesday night. Fred Hill Materials representatives did not attend.
