CHIMACUM — Chimacum High School band teacher David Jones faces first-degree theft charges for allegedly gambling away approximately $4,000 in band funds.
Jones was arrested Wednesday by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Hiram Godsey in conjunction with an investigation of missing band funds.
According to Jefferson County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jill Landes, Jones confessed to Godsey that he had gambled the money away at 7 Cedars Casino in Blyn on Aug. 12.
