Chimacum: Cowboys to play Othello in baseball semis

CHEHALIS — The Chimacum Cowboys will play Othello in the Class 2A state baseball semifinals Friday at the Yakima County Stadium in Yakima.

The game starts at 4 p.m.

The Cowboys (17-4) won their first-ever regional championship late Saturday by pounding Blaine 15-6. Earlier in the day, Chimacum won another do-or-die game by nipping Castle Rock 7-6 in eight innings.

Othello, meanwhile, won its regional title on Saturday by ripping Medical Lake 8-2 in the first game and beating Hoquiam 5-1 in the regional championship game.
