BLYN — A Carlsborg man will make an appearance in Clallam County Superior Court Monday after allegedly threatening a Blyn man on Christmas Day with a chunk of iron and a pointed hand tool used to punch small holes in wood or leather.
Wayne Leon Sayer, 31, was in the Clallam County jail Saturday on $5,000 bail and has been charged with one count of harassment — threats to kill.
Sayer is slated to appear for a formal filing of the charge in Clallam County Superior Court at 1 p.m. Monday.
An incident report from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office gave the following account:
The alleged victim told a sheriff’s deputy that Sayer had come to his house at about 1 p.m. Christmas Day with an awl and large piece of iron complaining that the Blyn man had been making Sayer “crazy” with thoughts he was beaming into Sayer’s head with lasers.
Sayer was standing about three feet away from the man when Sayer allegedly told him he was going to stab him in the neck with the awl.
The man then told Sayer to leave, which he did.
According to the incident report, Sayer has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, after two combat tours served with the U.S. Marines.
Sayer has suffered from paranoid delusions concerning the alleged victim, according to the incident report.
The report said he had visited the man’s home five times between June and October 2012 and accused him of being with the CIA, projecting voices into Sayer’s head and shinning laser beams at Sayer’s house, south of Robin Hill County Park near Carlsborg.
The alleged victim lives in Blyn roughly 12 miles east of Sayer’s address, as listed in charging documents filed in court.
