PORT ANGELES — Democrats, friends and neighbors are asked to contribute to Clallam County food banks by dropping off canned tuna at the Clallam County Democratic Headquarters, 124-A W. First St., or by sending a check.
The Clallam Democrats designated April as Tuna Challenge Month and hope to collect 1,000 cans of tuna by this Thursday, April 30.
The Democrats’ headquarters is open this week Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Democrats asked that donors bring in at least 20 cans of tuna — or, in lieu of the tuna, send a check for at least $20 to Tuna Challenge, Clallam County Democrats, P.O. Box 2454, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
“Donating canned tuna to our local food banks is a simple but significant way to be of service to others,” said LeRoy Martin, who is leading the drive.
