PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Peninsula Chapter of The Compassionate Friends will host a Candle Lighting Service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
The service will be at New Life Open Bible Church, 402 E. Sixth St., Port Angeles.
The event is a remembrance service to “honor and remember children that have left us too soon,” organizers said.
This service will include poems, stories and readings as well as a music/video presentation.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picture of their child/grandchild/sibling to place on the table and to provide one by text or email for the slide show before Sunday.
The event is held in conjunction with Worldwide Candle Lighting gatherings.
The group offers “hope, friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who have suffered the loss of a child or children at any age.”
