Candidate forums are planned today and Wednesday on the North Olympic Peninsula.
Ballots will be mailed to registered voters Wednesday for the primary election Aug. 7. Military and overseas ballots were mailed June 23.
The general election will be Nov. 6.
Forums are set in Port Angeles, Forks and Port Ludlow.

League forum
PORT ANGELES — The League of Women Voters of Clallam County will sponsor a free public candidate forum at 6:30 p.m. today.
The forum in council chambers at Port Angeles City Hall at 321 E. Fifth St. will consist of two panels.
The first panel will feature candidates for Judge-District Court 1: Dave Neupert, Pam Lindquist and Suzanne M.B. Hayden. The second panel will present candidates for Clallam County Commissioner District 3: Bill Peach, Howard “Mike” Doherty Jr. and Dale Wilson.
The forum is offered to help voters prepare to cast their ballots for the Aug. 7 primary election, the League said.
Forks forum
FORKS — The League of Women Voters of Clallam County and the North Olympic Library System will host a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The forum will be at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., Forks.
A panel will feature candidates for Clallam County Commissioner District 3: Bill Peach, Howard “Mike” Doherty Jr. and Dale Wilson.
The forum is offered to help voters prepare to cast their ballots for the Aug. 7 primary election, the League said.
Commissioner candidate forum
PORT LUDLOW — The League of Women Voters of Jefferson County and American Association of University Women will cosponsor a forum Wednesday for the Jefferson County Commissioner District No. 3 election.
The 6 p.m. forum is free and open to the public at the Ludlow Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive.
The candidates running for the position are Greg Brotherton, Jon Cooke, Ryan McAllister and Craig Durgan.
Rick Shaneyfelt will moderate the forum.
