A computer Web-building company is moving its operations from the Los Angeles area to Port Angeles.
Residential Media Associates Inc., which specializes in developing Web sites catering to remodeling and construction trades, will open in a building near First and Valley streets, it was announced at Tuesday night’s Port Angeles City Council meeting.
The 22-year-old company moving from Santa Clarita, Calif., will eventually employ more than 20 employees as advertising representatives, Web designers, programmers and other technicians.
Economic development and city leaders said President/CEO Jim Ciaciuch decided to move to Port Angeles because of the city’s technology infrastructure as well as a favorable “hometown environment” for his family.
