PORT ANGELES — The state Department of Revenue will host a free tax workshop for new and small-business owners Oct. 20.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon in the Clallam Transit System conference room, 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.
Participants can learn about state excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements.
Attendees will receive a workbook and reference guide to the department’s regulations.
Also, participants can earn one continuing professional education credit.

SEQUIM — Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Sunday, Nov. 1.
These hours are in effect only for the winter and early spring months.
