CHIMACUM — A sustainable-energy grant workshop for businesses, farms and ranches will take place at the Chimacum Grange, 9572 Rhody Drive, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 11.
Owners who have been considering installing a renewable-energy system or making significant energy efficiency improvements to their establishments are encouraged to attend.
There is a USDA Rural Energy for America Program that may be able to provide grant funding for up to 25 percent of the cost of a renewable energy installation or energy efficiency improvements.

SEQUIM — Nora Polizzi, co-owner of A Dropped Stitch yarn shop, 136 S. Second Ave., recently completed courses in advanced knitting techniques at the Madrona Fiber Arts Conference in Tacoma.
Polizzi said she is the only nationally certified advanced knitting instructor on the North Olympic Peninsula.

The lunch hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

PORT ANGELES — Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers will present their first Law at The Landing event of 2015 from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7.
Law at The Landing is a free drop-in legal advice clinic for members of the public.
Held quarterly at The Landing mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave., the clinic allows local people to address their legal issues in one-on-one consultations with volunteer lawyers.
