BUSINESS BRIEFS: Sequim thrift shop set to open Saturday . . . and other items

SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild’s Thrift Shop, 204 W. Bell St., will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Featured this month are spring fashions for everyone, shoes, jewelry, furniture, kitchenware, books, puzzles and more.

All white-tagged items are marked half price.

Volunteers and consignors are always welcome.

Water sample tests

PORT TOWNSEND — Jim Gilliland, owner of the Hydration Station at 2455 Jefferson St., has partnered with Twiss Laboratories of Poulsbo to provide free courier service for water sample testing.

Twiss Laboratories, a Spectra Lab company, will now add the Hydration Station as a sample pick-up location each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Samples that are to be sent to the laboratory by courier should be taken to the Hydration Station no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Some tests need to be started within a short time of sampling.

Phone the laboratory at 360-779-5141 for any questions concerning tests, test results or test holding times.

People can pick up empty sample containers and laboratory forms at the Hydration Station between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
