Sequim seeks sponsors for 2014 concerts
SEQUIM — Sponsors are needed to support Sequim’s 2014 Music and Movies in the Park summer concert series.
The program is held at the James Center for the Performing Arts, located at the Water Reuse Demonstration Site on Blake Avenue.
It is scheduled to run Tuesday evenings from June 24 through Aug. 26. All performances begin at 6 p.m.
An outdoor movie will be shown at dusk on the last Tuesday of each month following the musical performance.
All programming is dependent on finding available funding, City Clerk Karen Kuznek-Reese said.
Each musical performer receives $400 for a performance, and each movie showing costs about $2,500 for the screen and movie license.
Donations may be IRS tax-deductible, she said.

Business preview
PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Main Street Program will deliver a preview of upcoming events, Main Street activities and planned customer promotions at a breakfast meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The event will be at The Public House, 1038 Water St.
Cost is $5 for Port Townsend Main Street members and $7 for nonmembers.

Bank manager named
PORT ANGELES — Columbia Bank has appointed Julie Hatch as a vice president and manager of the bank’s Port Angeles branch.
Among her duties, Hatch oversees customer relations at the branch, including providing financial services for new and existing customers.
Hatch joins Columbia after spending 25 years with KeyBank.
She most recently served as a vice president and manager of KeyBank’s Port Angeles branch.
She has more than 30 years of banking industry experience.
Hatch graduated from Charles White Secondary Modern in Matlock, Derbyshire, England, studying leadership and business.
She is a member of the Olympic Medical Center Foundation board, Peninsula Community College Foundation board and Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Spring classes
PORT ANGELES — Kristin Halberg, a “joy retrieval” coach and trainer specializing in leadership and holistic health, has announced new classes this spring.
The first, “Write with the Heart,” is a writing class that “helps face the fear of the blank page, face down the inner critic and find one’s writing voice.”
Admission is by donation.
It will take place at the KIC Coaching office, 116 N. Laurel St., No. 202, on Monday and Wednesday nights in April from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning April 7. The cost is by donation.
The second class, “Live with Wholehearted Purpose,” focuses on Carolyn Myss’ concept of the “Sacred Contract” with practices to help identify and gain insight into life’s purpose.
This class also takes place at the coaching office Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. beginning April 8. Admission is also by donation.
A two-day women’s retreat on Lake Crescent will be held April 25-27.

Loans available
PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Main Street spring HUD loan application deadline is Monday at 5 p.m.
Loan funds through the federal Housing and Urban Development Department can help property owners accomplish historic preservation and safety improvements in their buildings and is available to commercial buildings in Port Townsend’s downtown and uptown commercial historic districts.
