SEQUIM — The Bell Street Salon, located at 201 S. Sunnyside Ave., will welcome two new stylists Friday.

Vickie Lynn is available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

She specializes in foils, cuts and color. She can be reached at 360-460-2881.

Debbie Weinheimer is available Tuesdays-Fridays and specializes in cuts and color. She can be reached at 360-477-1781.

Both Lynn and Weinheimer were longtime stylists at Village Hair Design, which is closing effective today with the retirement of owner Janet Stern.

Veterinarian completes course

PORT ANGELES — Holly Irish of Family Veterinary Clinic recently completed a continuing education course in dermatology on Maui, Hawaii, through the University of California, Davis’ continuing education program.

She has completed approximately 90 hours of continuing education in her 2½ years of employment with Family Veterinary Clinic, 3217 E. Mahogany Drive, according to a news release.

The Washington State Veterinary Board requires a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every three years.

Irish has attended courses in internal medicine, ophthalmology and surgery, and she has spent time learning one-on-one with a board certified radiologist.
