BUSINESS BRIEFS: New employee hired at salon in Port Angeles . . . and other items

PORT ANGELES — Patti’s Off Peabody Hair Design recently welcomed Teia Brown-Stitzel to its team of stylists.

Brown-Stitzel has been a resident of Port Angeles for 31 years and was previously self-employed.

She offers services that include hair color placement, cutting, manicures, spa pedicures and waxing.

The salon at 330 E. First St., Suite 8, is a full-service retail owned and managed by Patti Currie.

Gallery reopens

PORT TOWNSEND — The recently closed Red Raven Gallery at 211 Taylor St., Suite B-2, has reopened as the Red Dragonfly under new ownership and will hold its formal reopening this Saturday.

New owners Sarah Nash and Peter Messerschmidt, who are longtime Port Townsend residents, plan to continue to develop the gallery as the city’s “alternative art space,” hosting local and worldwide artists.

In addition, the site will have new services including psychic readings, guest artist visits and interactive exhibits.

The Red Dragonfly is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

KONP talk guests

PORT ANGELES — Here is this week’s schedule for the 1:05 p.m. to 2 p.m. local talk show segment on KONP radio, at 1450 AM, 101.7 FM and www.konp.com on the Internet outside the Port Angeles area.
