PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Peninsula/Port Angeles KOA has earned the 2016 KOA President’s Award from Kampgrounds of America.
The award was presented recently at the company’s annual international convention in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The KOA President’s Award is presented annually to campgrounds that receive high scores in customer service from their campers and top scores in KOA’s annual quality review.

PORT ANGELES — A logo design created by Laurel Black Design was selected as one of the winners in the 2015 Health + Wellness Design Awards competition.
The logo design was created as a sample concept in the course of a branding project and is intended to convey a serene, natural approach to wellness and health care, according to a news release.
Sponsored by Graphic Design USA, the Health + Wellness Design Awards presents awards in recognition of branding excellence in the fields of health and wellness.

This week’s scheduled lineup:
■ Monday: Linda Klinefelter discusses Soroptimist of Sequim’s fifth annual Gala Gift Show fundraiser, which raises money for scholarships.
Second segment: Gary McRoberts, director of the Sequim Community Chorus, discusses the upcoming Christmas Chorale.
Third segment: Susan Jones, founder of atelierjones, an architecture, planning and design firm that specializes in sustainability and historic preservation. She will be promoting a public presentation coordinated by Peninsula College, the Port of Port Angeles, the city of Port Angeles and the Department of Commerce, discussing the ecological, economical and architectural values of cross-laminate timber.
■ Tuesday: Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict.
■ Wednesday: Don Corson of Camaraderie Cellars discusses holiday wine and food pairings.
Second segment: John Pritchard, Makah poet and author of the book Wolf, discusses his study abroad through local sales of his book.
Third segment: Abby Latson and Dillan Witherow of the local band Witherow discuss the upcoming release party for their Christmas CD.
■ Thursday: No program due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
