CARLSBORG — A resident was tied up with duct tape during a home invasion robbery Monday night, the third such robbery in Clallam County this month.
“At 11:48 a.m., a 23-year-old man called the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office to report that three masked males forced their way into his residence and assaulted him,” Sgt. Randy Pieper said Tuesday.
The burglars ransacked Shay Boyd’s fifth-wheel trailer, looking for money, Pieper said.
They found no money but did take a 22-inch flatscreen TV, stereo receiver and a DVD player, he said.
Investigators believe the suspects left on foot and it is not known if any vehicles were involved
Boyd was able to free himself about an hour after the robbery and made his way to a neighbor’s residence to call the Sheriff’s Office.
Boyd suffered minor injuries, but did not need medical attention, said Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron.
Deputies and a Sequim police officer responded to the scene off Kitchen-Dick Road and were unable to locate the suspects.
As of this morning, there are no identified suspects, and no one was in custody, Cameron said.
