Dancers wanted for fest group
PORT ANGELES — Classes for dancers who can eventually end up performing during the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts are being offered at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.
Learn routines from India, Turkey and more.
Based of folk and fusion belly dancing, techniques focus on body toning.
Beginners are welcome.
A six-week class is $45; drop-ins are $8.50.

Landscaping class
PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for the Clallam Conservation District’s annual spring natural landscaping course and spring landscaping with native plants field workshop.
There are three Tuesday evening classes and three Saturday field trips.
The evening classes will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 8, 15 and 22 at the Armory Square building, 228 W. First St.
The field trips will be on the afternoons of April 12, 19 and 26.
A $25 registration fee covers the cost of materials, including a book on native plants.
The deadline for registration is Friday, April 4.

The natural landscape course applies permaculture design principles to help participants develop their own sustainable landscape plans.
The course emphasizes water conservation, stormwater management, wildlife habitat enhancement and minimal maintenance.
One free field workshop on landscaping with native plants is being offered separately from the natural landscaping course.
It will be held at the Dungeness Recreation Area from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 25.
No fee is charged for the field workshop, but due to space limitations, pre-registration is required.

Nursing program
PORT ANGELES — A new Nursing Assistant Certificate Program starts at Peninsula College on April 9.
The class will meet April 9 through May 17 in the evenings and on weekends and combines classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences.
After completing the course, participants will be eligible to take the State Certificate Exam.

Spring Flea Market
JOYCE — The Crescent Grange No. 1123 will hold its Spring Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4 and 5 at the Grange Hall, 50870 state Highway 112.
Vendors will be in the hall and parking lot.
Lunch will be served, and there will be a bake sale in the kitchen.
