The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office today announced that two men have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and a second attempted home invasion earlier this month.

On 07/19/2012 Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Sean William Moore Jr, DOB: 02/16/1986 and Travis Lee Turner DOB: 11/02/1992 and booked them into jail for: Robbery 1st Degree 9A.56.200, Burglary 1st Degree 9A.52.020, And Attempted Robbery 1st 9A. 56.200, Theft of a Firearm (4 counts) 9A.56.300, Unlawful imprisonment (2 counts) 9A.40.040, Assault 1st 9A.36.011 and Trafficking Stolen Property 9A.82.055.
Clallam County sheriff’s dDetectives working with detectives from Sequim Police Department and members of the Port Angeles Police Department concluded an intensive two-week investigation today with the arrest of Travis Turner and Sean Moore for the armed robberies that occurred on July 7 and 8, 2012, in Clallam County.
Detectives received a break in the case this week when two citizens came forward and gave statements that Turner and Moore had been carrying guns and bragged about committing the robberies. Both citizens said that Turner had told them he had been shot in the arm while committing one of the robberies and they witnessed the fresh gunshot wound on his arm.
A confidential informant also confirmed that they had overheard Turner and Moore bragging about committing the robberies and also witnessed the gunshot wound to Turner’s arm.
Information gained during the investigation led detectives to the Riviera Inn in Port Angeles, where they confirmed that Turner and Moore had been staying. Detectives conducted surveillance on the hotel over a two day period, obtained a search warrant to enter the hotel and arrested Sean Moore along with Nicholas A. Taylor, DOB 10/07/1993 as they were leaving the hotel this morning.
Taylor had been renting a room at the hotel with Turner, but was arrested on an unrelated Superior Court bench warrant and booked into jail.
Detectives seized Moore’s pickup truck, and during a search of the truck recovered one plastic BB gun pistol, a rifle, burglary tools, jewelry and property stolen in a recent home burglary.
During interviews with Sheriff’s Detectives Jim McLaughlin and Tom Reyes, both Turner and Moore admitted to being involved in the robberies and being armed at the time as well as wearing masks, holding homeowners against their will and assaulting the homeowners.
Travis Turner admitted to being shot in the right arm while he was trying to force his way into the home on South Barr Road during one of the robberies. Suspects admitted to detectives the motive behind the robberies was to gain large amounts of money.
Detectives observed a 3-4 inch, grazing gunshot wound on Turner’s right bicep.
