POULSBO — A 13-year-old boy from Port Angeles who had been missing since Oct. 3 has been found safe in Poulsbo.
Joshua Gershon, who had been reported as a runaway by his stepfather, Otto Gershon, was discovered frequenting the Poulsbo branch of the Kitsap Regional Library on Friday evening, Otto Gershon said in an email.
Joshua had been making his way to the Poulsbo area for the past few weeks, Gershon said, sleeping in bushes and doing odd jobs to get money for food.
Gershon said a representative from a Christian ministry in Poulsbo specializing in advising homeless youth contacted him after the representative met up with Joshua at the Poulsbo branch library.
Gershon said he expects for Joshua to be home by some time this weekend.
