BRINNON — A construction flagger reportedly was killed today on U.S. Highway 101 at Canal View Street south of Brinnon in Jefferson County.
The flagger was identified at the scene as Lynette M. Anderson, 49, of Beaver in Clallam County. She reportedly was struck by a construction company dump truck on the 15-mile paving project in which both were working
The state Department of Transportation reports that the highway is reduced to one lane of traffic.
The incident occurred at Milepost 310, and Washington State Patrol and Transportation crews are at the scene, as is a Peninsula Daily News reporter/photographer.
