BPA transmission line outage affecting West End

From Clallam PUD:

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is experiencing an outage on one of its transmission lines. This is affecting, essentially, all of western Clallam County (Forks, Neah Bay, Sekiu, Pysht, Beaver, Sol Duc area, and more. We estimate that 5200-plus PUD customers are affected.

PUD crews have begun patrolling the line to help identify the problem in advance of BPA crew arrival, but because it is a BPA line/issue BPA crews are only authorized to repair. BPA crews are en-route and are estimated to arrive in the Port Angeles area about 9:15 a.m.

At this time (8 a.m.) we do not have an estimated time of restoration.
