PORT TOWNSEND — A 10-year-old bicyclist, who suffered head and other injuries when he was hit by a car Friday, was listed in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center on Saturday.
Gusieppe D. Glanz had been airlifted to the Seattle hospital after he was hit at about 3 p.m. on Irondale Road near Fort Flagler State Park, according to East Jefferson Fire-Rescue spokesman Bill Beezley.
Sgt. Ben Stamper of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was not cited.
He said witnesses told deputies that the young bicyclist had ridden in front of the pickup driver and that the driver was unable to avoid the collision.
