PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System is hosting a series of open houses to showcase its new bookmobile.
Visitors may tour the bookmobile, make a button to wear and enjoy light refreshments provided by Friends of the Library groups.
New library cardholders will be able to get special edition bookmobile-themed library cards.
The open houses will be at all four Clallam County public libraries overseen by North Olympic Library System. The appearance at the Sequim Library at 601 N. Sequim Ave., was on Tuesday.
• Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
• Clallam Bay Library, 16990 State Highway 112, Clallam Bay, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14.
• Forks Library, 171 Forks Ave., South, Forks, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 15.
The bookmobile also will appear at these community locations and events:
• Hoh Days, Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17.
• The Neah Bay Senior Center and Boys & Girls Club, Wednesday, June 21.
• Clallam Bay And Sekiu Fun Days, Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8.
• July 14-15: Quileute Days, Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15.
• July 30: Family Day at the Field Hall and Event Center, Sunday, July 30.
• Makah Days, Friday, Aug. 25, and Saturday, Aug. 26.
The bookmobile will begin traveling throughout the community to offer checkout of library materials and other remote services this fall.
