POR ANGELES — A body was found at the Heart o’ the Hills campground Wednesday.
The cause of death was under investigation by Olympic National Park personnel, assisted by the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
Park spokeswoman Barb Maynes confirmed only that a deceased person had been found at the campground, located south of Port Angeles.
She said she did not know the cause of death.
Maynes would not provide the identity, gender, age or hometown of the person. She would not go into the circumstances under which the body was found.
She would not say if the death was considered suspicious.
Clallam County Undersheriff Ron Peregrin said he could not provide information because it was the province of the park.
