BLYN — A traveling exhibit dedicated to the armed forces men and women killed and missing during the Vietnam War will be displayed at 7 Cedars Casino beginning Thursday for three days.
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute features a replica of the Washington, D.C., National Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall that lists the names of the 58,209 Americans killed in the Vietnam War.
The traveling wall — 80 percent the size of the national memorial — is dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, prisoners of war and those still listed as missing in action.
The traveling memorial be displayed at the casino, 270756 Highway 101.
An opening ceremony, including a presentation by the Native American VFW Post No. 11481, will be held at noon Thursday.
Touring the exhibit is free to the public.
Outside exhibit
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be displayed outside the casino, said Judy Walz, 7 Cedars Casino marketing manager.
The replica of the memorial wall stands up to 8 feet tall and spans 378 feet.
Name listings are updated when changes are made to the national memorial.
Exhibit staff will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day to help visitors locate names and answer questions, Walz said.
