CHIMACUM — A motor home burned on the 11000 block of Rhody Drive on Thursday.
East Jefferson Fire Rescue (EJFR) firefighters were alerted to the fire at 3:52 a.m. and arrived to find a large motor home on fire, according to a press release.
All occupants were able to escape the flames — although one injury was reported, according to EJFR.
No additional information was available about the injury, although EJFR Battalion Chief Jason MacDonald said at the time, “We are fortunate that no one was gravely injured.”
The motor home was destroyed, and the local branch of the American Red Cross assisted the displaced resident, EJFR said.
“The cause of the fire remained under investigation last week. It appeared to be related to an electrical malfunction while using a space heater,” MacDonald said.
