The North Olympic Library System will host birdhouse building events at two branch libraries.
There will be a workshop at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.
Another workshop will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.
Lumber for the project was donated by Angeles Millwork and Hartnagel Building supply and The Country Woodwright cut the lumber to create 300 birdhouse kits for the program.
Library staff and volunteers will help children to construct their own birdhouse to take home.
Children younger than 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Hammers will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own, if they have one.
