PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles High School Leadership Class will host its seventh annual Benefit & Talent Show on Friday.

The show will be at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Port Angeles High School, 304 E. Park Ave.

Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for a silent auction of donations from local businesses.

Tickets are $10 per adult, $5 per student and $20 for a family of four.

They will be sold at the door. Tickets also are available from a leadership student.

Each year, leadership students select a community member who is experiencing a health challenge to be the beneficiary of talent show proceeds.

“The funds raised this year will benefit Jaime Campos,” said Leadership Class Adviser Pam Helpenstell.

Campos was diagnosed last April with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma, tonsillar cancer.

“Our theme, ‘I Love You to the Moon and Back,’ was developed with Jaime’s family,” Helpenstell said.

“They have helped him through his treatments, and the movie ‘Inside Out’ has been an inspiration during his journey through treatment.”

He is married to Stacy Campos. They have two daughters: Maracella, 9, and Rhyann, 10.

Community members from all over the North Olympic Peninsula are expected to present a wide range of entertainment.

For more information or to make a donation to the silent auction, phone Helpenstell at 360-565-1529 or email phelpenstelll@portangelesschools.org.
