Ball in the House sings tonight

PORT ANGELES — Ball in the House, an a cappella group, performs tonight in the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be bought at the door and range from $13 to $18 ($10 for students and children younger than 12).

With five male singers, this pop/rhythm and blues vocal group has opened for and played with such performers at The Temptations, The Four Tops, Jessica Simpson, Cher, Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson.

The group uses vocal bass and percussion to sustain lush harmonies of funk, hip-hop and street-corner sound.

Vocal Unlimited, the high school’s select choral group, will perform two songs with Ball in the House.

The Boston-based group has been touring since 1998 and has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and abroad as well.

Tonight’s concert is sponsored by the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts, with major support by Peninsula Daily News and Family Medicine of Port Angeles.
