FORKS — Law enforcement officers and family members continued to seek information this week on the whereabouts of a Forks man who has been missing for more than a month.
Jason “Jake” Simons, 30, hasn’t been heard from since April 5, according to a missing-person report.
His family reported him missing to authorities April 8.
“We haven’t heard from or seen him,” Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian King, who patrols the county’s West End, said Wednesday.
Physical description
Simons is a white male with a dark complexion and brown-colored hair, beard and eyes who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
He has a half-inch scar in the lower center of his forehead.
When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a dark-brown raincoat and a baseball hat, and was carrying a black backpack.
Police have not identified a medical or mental health history that might explain the disappearance, and Simons’ car still is at a family residence.
A search of Simons’ cellphone records did not show any activity.
Police have received several tips, including a report that he was staying with a family member in Oregon, but none has led to Simons.
