Auditions for Port Ludlow productions scheduled

PORT LUDLOW — The Ludlow Village Players will hold auditions for the plays “Drinking Habits” and “The Gazebo” next Tuesday and Thursday at separate locations in Port Ludlow.

Tuesday’s tryouts for both plays will be at the Beach Club, 121 Marine Drive, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Thursday’s auditions, again for both plays, will be held at the Bay Club, 120 Spinnaker Place, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Comedies

For “Drinking Habits,” Tom Smith’s comedy about nuns secretly making wine to keep their convent open, three women and five men of any age are needed.

“The Gazebo,” meanwhile, is Alec Coppel’s mystery-comedy about a television whodunit writer seeking to invent the perfect crime.

It has roles for eight men and three women of various ages.

Audition packets with play excerpts and character descriptions are available at both the Beach Club and the Bay Club.

Rehearsals will start in January for performances in March, and more information is available by contacting Ludlow Village Players director Val Durling at 360-437-2861 or rkd@waypoint.com.
