PORT TOWNSEND — A 28-year-old man linked to the methamphetamine overdose of an 18-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of reckless endangerment in Jefferson County Court.
Derrick Alan Jevne, who remained in the Jefferson County jail Tuesday on a $10,000 bond after he was charged Monday, is scheduled for an arraignment at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Jefferson County Superior Court, 1820 Jefferson St.
The Sheriff’s Office said it gained a warrant to search Jevne’s home Saturday. Deputies said they recovered drug paraphernalia and about a quarter-pound of methamphetamine that has an estimated street value of $4,000.

A probable-cause statement filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office gave this account:
Deputies were told Thursday that a woman was being treated at Jefferson Healthcare hospital for a possible overdose.
Two deputies visited her, and she told them that Jevne had injected her with methamphetamine Oct. 21, the night of Oct. 23 and Thursday morning immediately before the hospital visit.
Johnson gave police Jevne’s address, 261 Stevens Ave.
On Friday, deputies arrested Jevne for investigation of delivery of a controlled substance and reckless endangerment.
Jevne has admitted to having purchased $1,000 worth of methamphetamine but said he did not inject the woman with the drug, according to deputies’ reports.
He said he provided the woman with instructions as how to inject the drug and showed her a YouTube video as part of this instruction, according to the statement.
