PORT HADLOCK — There will be two dementia awareness events at the Jefferson County Library this month.
Dementia Friends Washington will host a free information session from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The session will cover what dementia is, what it is like to live with dementia and ways to communicate with a person who lives with dementia. Pre-registration is required by emailing Randi Winter at rlwintin@gmail.com.
The East Jefferson County Memory Cafe will host TimeSlips from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 31.
TimeSlips is a story-telling process for people living with dementia, their care partners, families and friends.

Both events will be held at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave.
