As a public service, we are forwarding this emergency alert from the Port Angeles Police Department:
At approximately 10:15 a.m. Port Angeles Police Officers responded to a burglary. Two suspects fled with stolen shotguns and were later spotted by Lower Elwha Police and Port Angeles Police.
Attempt to stop the suspects with road spikes was not successful. The pursuit terminated on Dan Kelly Road.
Major manhunt in progress for two armed suspects. Residents in the area of Dan Kelly Road need to stay inside, report any suspicious activity or persons by calling 911.
Expect helicopters and considerable police presence. More information to follow and Clallam Alert messages to be broadcast. Incident management is Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and Port Angeles Police Department.
