The fourth annual Airport Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Fairchild International Airport in Port Angeles.
The opening ceremony features a flag skydive and color guard.
Other events include:
* A slide show and talk by Tuskegee Airmen of World War II.
* Navion “Fraser Blues”‘ six-ship formation demonstration.
* Boeing flight simulator sessions and rides.
* Black Jacks formation fly-in and demonstration.
* Ultralight demonstration and presentation.
* Motor gliders fly-by.
* U.S. Coast Guard helicopter rappelling demonstration.
* Cascade Warbirds display.
* Skydiving display.
* Aircraft walk-through and displays.
* Magna Force hi-tech demonstration.
Rite Bros. Aviation will offer scenic flights, and free flights for people 7 to 17 will be offered by the Young Eagles.
Organizer Alan Barnard has designated this year’s Airport Day as an International Stinson Club Northwest Regional Fly-In.
Barnard will also lead tethered rides in the RE/MAX hot air balloon from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Admission to the event is $3 for adults, and free for pilots and children ages 17 and younger.
Some events, including scenic flights, have additional costs.
