The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gas in the state, including the North Olympic Peninsula, is $2.46.
That’s up 15 cents in the past month, and it’s 23 cents higher than the national average.
The lowest price on the North Olympic Peninsula observed in an unscientific survey on Sunday was $2.389 a gallon at Costco Wholesale in Sequim. Customers must be Costco members to purchase gasoline.
Some city prices reported in the AAA survey announced this mornjing:
Bellingham $2.49, Bremerton $2.46, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $2.47, Tacoma $2.44, Olympia $2.46, Vancouver $2.39, Yakima $2.45, Tri-Cities $2.46, Spokane $2.40.
