Personnel from Marine Spill Response Corp. toss a line ashore as it deploys an oil spill boom around the mouth of Valley Creek Estuary in Port Angeles on Wednesday as part of a drill to practice containment of an oil spill.
Representatives from government and industry are taking part in a five-day class hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard on responding to environmental accidents and spills, including on-the-water drills to test containment practices.
The drill will continue through Friday.
