7 Cedars gets rebrand: Hotel expansion prompts new look, logo

BLYN — As its cornerstone facility gets a major expansion, the 7 Cedars brand is getting a make-over as well.

Officials overseeing the construction of a $39 million hotel — among the first of a multi-phase resort in Blyn — announced they have updated its artwork with a rebrand that will be seen on multiple 7 Cedars properties and digital platforms throughout the next six to eight months.

7 Cedars Resort Properties operates 7 Cedars Casino, the Longhouse Market & Deli, The Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course, and the under-construction 7 Cedars Hotel.

“We knew a rebrand was in our near future,” 7 Cedars CEO Jerry Allen said, “and the addition of the hotel provided a perfect opportunity to reaffirm our connection to our culture, our environment and our commitment to a high-quality resort experience.”

Now under construction, the 7 Cedars Hotel will feature interiors with water, land, trees and sky as design themes.

The new brand incorporates traditional Salish iconography to “communicate its cultural connection to the surrounding environment,” 7 Cedars officials said in a press release.

“The flowing shapes and gradated colors symbolize the water, mountains, and forests that surround the 7 Cedars property, while the clean design and modern typeface project an elevated, yet truly authentic Pacific Northwest visitor experience.”

Workers broke ground on the hotel project Feb. 28 and it is scheduled to open May 1.

The first phase of the hotel will consist of a main floor and a four-story tower with 100 rooms, each 420 square feet to more than 1,000 square feet.

A second phase, targeted for at least five years out, includes construction of 150 to 200 more rooms in a second four-story tower, conference room, spa and pool, Allen said.

“A rebrand of this size and scope is a big-tent project, and the time-line for the hotel provided us the time to execute this project carefully and effectively from start to finish,” Judy Walz, 7 Cedars director of marketing, said.
