When Dr. Helena Soomer-Lincoln, a Bainbridge Island dentist and founder of Fairy Tale Dental, reflects on her childhood in Soviet-era Estonia, she remembers her father’s quiet optimism.
“He would always tell me, ‘Estonia will be independent one day.’ And then, in 1991, I witnessed the revolution. I saw Russian tanks turn away. That moment gave me a sense of hope and purpose that has stayed with me,” she says.
