SEQUIM — Brian Jackson, president and CEO of Sound Senior Care Inc. and Home Instead, will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum titled “Stages of Senior Care: Your Guide to Successful Aging” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The lecture will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.
Jackson will discuss how aging has changed in our lifetime and why this is an exciting time to be a senior, organizers said.
The eight care needs of every person as they age and how to adapt to the changes as they age will be discussed, as well as accepting factors that can’t be controlled while hearing ideas for how to manage factors that can be.
Jackson has more than nine years of experience working with seniors.
From 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., volunteer nurses from the Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic will be available to check the blood pressure of anyone who is interested.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of the free clinic.
The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members.
Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5.
