PORT ANGELES — Clallam Spring Clean Up Day, formerly known as Annual Benefit Dump Day, will help city and county residents clean up yards and garages while benefiting the food bank Sunday.
Yard waste, tires, large appliances and other metals will be accepted for recycling from residents living both within Port Angeles and in surrounding Clallam County from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Regional Transfer Station at 3501 W. 18th St.
Cash or check donations
Cash or check donations of $10 per load, in lieu of regular fees, will be accepted for the Port Angeles Food Bank.
No credit cards or food donations will be accepted.
Loads are limited to one per household and can be no greater than a full-size 1-ton truck or a 5-foot-by-8-foot trailer, with no commercial loads or vehicles.
Tires, metals, waste oil, antifreeze, auto batteries and yard waste must be separated for recycling.
Tire, appliance limit
There is a limit of up to four tires and four appliances per household.
Yard waste branches must be no larger than 4 inches in diameter.
Before taking an item to the dump, residents can visit www.2good2toss.com to see if it can be sold or given away.
Computers and televisions can be taken to Goodwill or EcycleNW.
