PORT ANGELES — Paper airplanes, pingpong balls, frypans, soda cans, yo-yos and more will fill the Vern Burton Community Center gym during the sixth annual Outrageous Olympics from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight.

The “fun-raising” event benefits United Way of Clallam County and will be held in the gym, 308 E. Fourth St.

Community members are invited to join in for an evening of wacky fun while helping raise money through a raffle, team support donations and the “infamous” barbecue-in-winter dinner for donations.

The annual event brings together teams to take on wacky games like the 12th Man Fan Club and Pong-a-long in a for-fun competition for first place.

Competitors include the Scallywags of Peninsula College, the Smartees of the Port Angeles School District, the Parkview Villains and the City Slickers of Port Angeles.

For more information, phone United Way of Clallam County at 360-457-3011.
