PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Downtown Association Youth Volunteers have planned an All Dressed Up Spring Tea for girls, their favorite doll-friend and an adult.
Two seatings will be held in The Landing mall banquet room, 115 E. Railroad Ave., at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
Any doll may come — American Girl, Madame Alexander, Barbie, Corolle.
There will be crafts and doll and history displays.
A photographer will take photos that will be available for purchase.
The high tea will include a fashion show from Teenie Queenie.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their finest from any era from 1862 to the present.
Celebrates PA’s 150th
The tea celebrates the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s declaration setting aside land for Port Angeles in 1862.
Hats are encouraged, and dolls can be dressed up as well.
Prizes will be awarded for the most appropriate dress for 1862, best-dressed doll-and-girl combo and best outfit made by a girl 12 or younger.
Tickets are $15 per person or $105 for a table of eight.
They are available at Odyssey Bookshop, 114 W. Front St., and Teenie Queenie, 117 W. First St.
The tea is presented by the Port Angeles Youth Volunteers as a Heritage Days event, with support from the Port Angeles Downtown Association, the Clallam County Historical Society, the Peninsula Doll Club and local merchants.
