WEEKEND: Get in gift-giving mood at holiday bazaars

Aspiring Santas can find plenty of gifts at this weekend’s holiday bazaars — and please themselves with a few treats as well.

From the annual Christmas Cottage in Port Angeles to an arts and crafts fair in Chimacum, North Olympic Peninsula bazaars feature just about every type of gift or decoration one could want for the holidays.

Here is a sample:

PORT ANGELES

Christmas Cottage

PORT ANGELES — The 31st annual Christmas Cottage will feature handmade gifts and ornaments at the Vern Burton Community Center this weekend.

The three-day fair will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday as well as from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the community center at 308 E. Fourth St.

Everything for sale is hand-crafted, made by the 25 vendors at the show, said Nancy Jackson, one of the organizers.

Clothing for big kids, little kids and adults will be sold as well as items for pets, Christmas decorations, gifts, jewelry and baked goods, Jackson said.

“There’s something for everyone, and it’s in all price ranges.

“We try to have a broad range,” she added.

Hot lunches will be served all day, Jackson said.
