WEEKEND: Climate change topic of lecture at Landing mall

PORT ANGELES — Climate change in the Pacific Northwest will be the topic of a lecture at The Landing mall tonight.

The free presentation, “Climate Change: Implications for the Pacific Northwest” — which is part of the Feiro Lecture Series — will be at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor banquet room at the mall at 115 E. Railroad Ave.

Nick Bond, the principal research scientist with the Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean, will talk about past and expected future changes in the global climate, specifically looking at Pacific Northwest marine ecosystems over the next 30 to 50 years.
