QUILCENE — The sounds of the viola, piano and cello will fill a restored dairy barn this weekend as the Olympic Music Festival presents two concerts of Beethoven, Prokofiev and Brahms at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The concerts will be at the Olympic Music Festival farm at 7360 Center Road, 18 miles south of Port Townsend.
Tickets range from $18 to $33.
Music lovers are invited to come early to picnic and stroll, as the farm gates open at 11 a.m.
Barn doors open at 1 p.m., and listeners can choose to sit inside the barn or outside on the lawn where the concert is broadcast.
Founder & guests
Playing with festival founder and violist Alan Iglitzin will be guest artists from around the nation: Illana Setapen on violin, Bronwyn Banerdt on cello and festival newcomer Andrea Lam on piano.
Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 4 in C Major, Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in F minor and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor comprise the program.
Attire is casual for patrons and musicians alike, and the Milking Shed offers souvenirs, CDs, clothing, beverages and snacks during festival concerts, which go on every weekend through Sept. 2.
